This track just sounds so lonesome until it gets to that satisfying crescendo. CFCF will be releasing a mini-album named Exercises via Paper Bag Records in April. Michael Silver, the mastermind behind this cinematic outfit, leads listeners with extreme patience through unfolding aural layers. The press release describes Exercises as “all snowy walkways and long corridors, endless escalators ascending to desolate concrete plateaus,” but really, it’s more pleasant than it sounds.
